Obituary of Harry Bisbing
Harry William Bisbing, long time resident of Beaverlodge, AB, formerly of Goodfare, AB, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 78 years.
Harry was born in Beaverlodge on November 30, 1944, to Paul and Elsa Bisbing. Harry spent most of his childhood growing up on the farm in Goodfare, except for a few years spent in Edmonton, AB, and Jasper, AB.
Harry started working at the age of 16 in the logging and oil patch. He ran heavy equipment his whole life, and, as a side job, was a bingo caller for a few years.
In 1973, Harry met and married the love of his life Janet Cornock. They lived in Beaverlodge where they had 2 children: Tanya, and Shane.
Harry loved hunting, fishing, camping, and hockey, but above all, his family.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Janet; children: Tanya (Ashley), and Shane (Amber); grandchildren: Tyler (Jamie), Jesse, Hannah, Cameron, Dominic; sisters: Ann (Wally) Hladun, and Rhoda (Al) Radke; mother-in-law Joan Cornock; brothers-in-law: Dennis, David, Raymond, Lance, and Steve; sisters-in-law Dale, and Lorraine (Leon), and many nieces, and nephews.
Harry was predeceased by his father Paul Bisbing, mother Elsa Atkey, father-in-law Bruce Cornock, niece Debbie Smith (nee Radke).
A Memorial Service for Harry will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Hythe Royal Canadian Legion (9818 100 Ave).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (100-119 14 Street NW Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6), Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (Box 480 Beaverlodge Alberta T0H 0C0), or to the charity of one’s choosing.
