Obituary of Agnes Clara Wills

Agnes Clara Wills (nee Barre), a long time resident of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at the age of 93 years.

 

Agnes was born in Goodfare, AB, to Arthur and Margret Barre on May 20, 1929 (and met her future husband on that day). She married Douglas Frank Wills on October 21, 1949, and they started their family in Goodfare, eventually moving to Beaverlodge in 1957.

 

Agnes was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening, playing crib, and cards. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 60 years.

 

Agnes is survived by her children: Gloria Sims, Lorraine Senenko, Danny (Karen), Ralph (Fran), Wendy (Greg) Canam, Eunice (Bob) Libycz, John Rose; daughters in-law: Elaine Wills, and Kelly Wills; as well as 30 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.

 

She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Margret Barre; husband Douglas Wills; sons: Raymond, Brian, Barry, and Scott; daughters Yvonne and Lucy; sisters: Mary Funk, and Anna Pelletier; and brother Jack Barre.

 

A Visitation will take place Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Beaverlodge, (1107 1 Ave).

 

A Prayer Service will take place Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 7:00 pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date.
