Cecile Martha Letendre, resident of Hythe, AB, formerly of Kelly Lake, BC, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Beaverlodge, AB at the age of 73 years. Cecile was born June 11, 1948, in Kelly Lake, BC to Isadore and Annie Gladue. Cecile was raised in Kelly Lake and attended school there as well as in Dawson Creek. Cecile then attended Hobbema College. She was the coordinator for Kelly Lake Adult Education. Cecile then went on to work at the Park and York hotels in Grande Prairie, as well as KFC. Cecil loved camping with her sisters Kathleen, Margaret, Dorothy, Nora, and Vyrel. She loved to play bingo and care for her grandchildren. Cecil loved to read and watch television crime shows. She will be sadly missed by her children: Clint (Twila), Conrad (René), Clayton (Deb), Sherriann (Tony), Clarke, Colin, and Cliffton; grandchildren: Jana, Alvina, Laura, Corey, Delsin, Janelle, Jalenna, Jaydon, Mallory, Mason, Christina, Tonie, Troy, Zachary, Lindin, Luke, Karah, Kieron, Aubree, and Klifton Jr.; great-grandchildren: Mary, Rose, Nathan, Natalie, Elizabeth, Marcus, Zoey-Ray, Victor, Maci, Kade, Breya, Azmodeus, and Xavier. Cecil was predeceased by her husband Ronnie “Ronald” Letendre; parents Isadore and Annie Gladue; daughter Sheila Letendre; and siblings: Caroline, Margret Christina, Alvina, Lillian, Lydia, Isabel, William John, Fred, and Francis. A Funeral Service for Cecile will take place Friday, June 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Kelly Lake Community Centre. Viewing will take place 1 hour before the service at 1:00 pm (107 Kelly Lake Rd, Tomslake, BC V0C 2L0). Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
