Marie Pearson, a proud and life long resident of the Valhalla and Hythe areas, passed away at the Beaverlodge Hospital after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, January 27, 2018 surrounded by her family at the age of 79 years. Marie was well known in the community for all of her years of volunteer service in many areas, especially her dedication to the Hythe Continuing Care Centre. She was well known within her family, as the glue that held all together. Marie was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Inez Gault, her husband Bob Pearson, her brother Darrell Gault, and her sisters Eileen Cummings and Laureen Campbell. Marie will be forever remembered and loved by her sons Rob Pearson and Ken Pearson, her daughter Cleo (Roy) Martin, and her beloved grandchildren Michael, Bobby and Thomas Martin. She is also survived by her brother Lysle (Gaylene) Gault and her sister Cleo deLancey, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Hythe Legion. Pastor Neal Palmer officiated. Interment will be held in the Hythe Cemetery in the Spring.
