Isack Dyck, a resident of Hythe, Alberta passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 in Hythe at the age of 44 years. Isack Dyck was born in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico on January 12, 1971 to parents Isack and Katrina Dyck, where they lived until the age of 9 years then they moved to Paraguay. He was baptized upon confession of his faith in the Old Colony Mennonite Church in Scheen Darp 101, Paraguay by Bishop Johan Neufeld in May, 1989 at the age of 18 years. In Paraguay he worked with his father, and in later years taught in the Old Colony School. He married Katharina Friesen, daughter of Henry & Maria Friesen on June 16, 1989. After Isack & Katharina were married they lived in Paraguay until they moved to Canada in 2005. Isack had his first surgery on his lip due to cancer in 1994, then another surgery in 2011. In October 2014 he had a major surgery on his chin. He felt he was healing until just before Tina passed away, when he thought he felt his cancer starting again, and then shortly after noticed a lump on his chin. From then, until he passed, Isaac battled this disease with great patience, and endurance. Isack & Katharina were married for 26 years, 2 months and 15 days and were blessed with 7 children; five daughters, and two sons, two sons-in-law, and 4 grandchildren. Of which, two daughters, Margaret and Anna passed away in infancy, and daughter Tina passed away in March 2015. Left to mourn are his loving wife, Katharina; children, Margaret (Peter) Martens, John, Corny, Judy (Jake) Bueckert, and grandchildren, Willy, Peter, Pancho, & Kathy, his mother, five brothers, and five sisters. He was predeceased by his father, a sister in infancy, three daughters, and his mother-in-law. Isack passed away to be with his Lord and Saviour on the morning of August 31, at his home. He will be greatly missed by his family, and numerous friends, and acquaintances. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Hythe Community Centre.
