Obituary of Kathleen Marie Kulicki

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marie Kulicki (Sudhoff), resident of Hythe, AB, formerly of Hinton Trail, AB, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Beaverlodge Hospital at the age of 80.

 

Kathleen was born on September 20, 1943, in Olds, AB, to Bill and Annie Sudhoff. She was raised in Westward Ho, AB, and attended school in Sundre, AB. After finishing high school, Kathleen moved to Calgary, AB,  for a brief period before relocating north to Hinton Trail, where her parents had moved. It was there where she met the love of her life, Thomas "Tom" Kulicki, whom she married on November 19, 1966. At the time of her passing, they were in their 58th year of marriage.

 

In 1978, Tom and Kathleen welcomed their son, Michael, and then four years later, the arrival of their daughter, Kimberly, rounded out the family of four. In addition to working alongside her family to support their farm in Hinton Trail, Kathleen worked part-time at the Beaverlodge Hospital in medical supplies management. 

 

Kathleen and Tom enjoyed taking road trips exploring the countryside, watching rodeos (both in person and on TV), visiting neighbours, and playing cards. A few memorable trips that they took included attending the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, touring Big Island in Hawaii, and camping in Alaska. 

 

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents and her older brother Robert (Bud) Sudhoff. 

 

She will be deeply missed by her husband and children, as well as her two grandchildren Carson and Hannah; her brothers Glen (Dianne) Sudhoff and John Sudhoff; and her many other family members and friends.

Kathleen’s family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Beaverlodge Hospital for the excellent care that she has received over the last while. 

 

At Kathleen’s request, no funeral service will be held.
