Obituary of Bernadine Elvira Calliou
Bernadine Calliou, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, formerly of Kelly Lake, BC, passed away on, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Beaverlodge Hospital, at the age of 65 years.
Bernadine Elvira Calliou was born to parents Joseph and Isabell Calliou on September 1, 1958, in Beaverlodge. She was raised in Kelly Lake.
Bernadine touched the hearts of many. She went far and beyond to help her friends and family throughout her years. She loved her children and grandchildren and would go to the end of the Earth for them.
Bernadine loved to cook, she started out cooking in camps, and she was an excellent cook. She cooked for her friends, family, and community. She could be found camping, hunting, berry, and mushroom picking within her family trapline and other areas surrounding Kelly Lake.
She will be sadly missed by her children Joseph Campbell and Ashton Calliou; grandchildren: Joseph-Xaiver Campbell, Jayla Campbell, Jesse, Jasmine, and Isabella; siblings Brenda Calliou (Franz), Sydney Calliou (Sharon), Betty Calliou, Patsy Calliou (Ron), and Ruth Dautel; as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunties.
Bernadine was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Isabell Calliou, husband Brian Ramstead, sister Beverly Calliou, and nephews Dallas Auger and Preston Calliou.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the Kelly Lake Community Centre (107 Kelly Lake Rd.) in Kelly Lake.
