Alfred Steinke

Obituary of Alfred Alan Steinke

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, spouse, father, and friend, Alfred Alan Steinke passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the age of 46, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, AB.

Alfred was born on September 25, 1977, in Beaverlodge, AB to his loving parents Joan and Laverne Steinke. He was the oldest of three sons, his younger brothers Colin and Lance coming along shortly after him.

Alfred, who many knew as Alf or Alfie, will be forever remembered by his fiancé Christina Rowe-Steinke; his parents Laverne and Joan Steinke; his two younger brothers Colin and Lance; his four children Sydney, Treton, Thorin, and Aiden; as well as many more family members and friends.

Anyone who knew Alfie knew he was extremely proud to be a father, and he often spoke about his love and appreciation for his children. He bragged about his fiancé, Christina, whom he had planned to marry within the next year.

Alf loved to spend time on the rig with his brothers and father, and he had planned to take over the family business one day. He loved to drive fast with the music loud, whether that be in his Corvette or on his motorcycle. But more than anything, he loved and found pride in his family.

As per the family's wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

"Another day has passed. And you throw your leg over your bike that you love so much. You won't ride it here, but you will in Heaven above. When the Lord calls your name out, we will never understand why it breaks our hearts and makes us hold back our tears because we don't want to cry. We know in our hearts that you have always been a stand-up guy. When you leave us, you will be riding your Harley up into the sky. The angels will meet you halfway and guide you with light on this very day, so dump that clutch as you shift it into high. We love you, brother, and we say goodbye”.
