Bob Sherard Obituary

We sadly announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Sherard, who left this world on January 20, 2026, at the age of 70, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bob’s journey was marked by resilience, quiet strength, and a deep care for the people around him.

Bob was a chef, a volunteer, and an active community member; someone who gave generously of himself to others for as long as he was able.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Loretta; his brother David (Erika); and his sisters Sandy (Chris) and Barb. Bob was a proud and devoted father to Brady (Kyle), Tyler, and Darby (Kristen). He was also a cherished Papa to Simon and Everett, who brought him immense joy. Bob will be dearly missed by his many extended family members: Frieda and Harold, Hilda and Lin, Roger and Tammy, Milly, and their families.

Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert, his mother, Rose, and his brother, Terrence. He was also predeceased by his father-in-law, Henry, mother-in-law, Marie, and brother-in-law Walter, who battled Parkinson’s by his side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Beaverlodge Community Centre, where family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honour Bob’s life. Lunch to follow.

Bob's family would like to thank the staff at the Beaverlodge hospital, his dedicated homecare team, his niece Justina, and his devoted friend Randy for their countless hours of caring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Alberta Association. https://wl.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E353999QE&id=5

Bob will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his generosity, his sly humour, and the countless ways he showed up for others.
