Leila Ruth Isley (Miller), a long-time resident of Beaverlodge, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Beaverlodge Hospital at the age of 87 years.  

Leila Ruth Isley was born on September 17, 1937, in Castleton, Ontario, to Truman and Mabel Miller, the second of ten kids. Ruth met Norm Isley in Elmworth, Alberta, in 1974, as neighbours, and they were married on August 29, 1978.

They moved to Wembley, Alberta, but later moved back to the homestead in Elmworth. It was here they built their house and were able to spend many wonderful years in it. Ruth and Norm then moved to Beaverlodge, where they lived out the rest of their lives together with family and friends.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents and Norman Isley.

Ruth leaves behind her children, Sydna (Cindy) Getten, Darcy (Jeanette) Getten, Murray (Cindy) Getten, seven grandchildren, as well as numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at St. Luke's Anglican Hall (314 10th St.) in Beaverlodge, Alberta.
