With heavy hearts, the family of Shirley Ann Morgan announces her passing on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Beaverlodge, AB, at the age of 81 years. Shirley was surrounded by several of her loved ones.

Shirley was born in Bridport, England, on January 25, 1944, to Muriel and John Henry (Tim) Jocelyn. In May of 1946, Shirley and her mother came to Canada to be with her father. The family settled in Ogema, SK, and later moved to Estevan, SK.

Shirley attended Estevan Collegiate, where she met the love of her life, Dennis Morgan. They married on December 19, 1959. Together, they lived in Estevan, Midale, and Regina, SK, before moving to Kinuso, AB. In 1969, they settled in High Level, AB, where they raised their four boys and remained for over 50 years. In 2022, Shirley and Dennis moved to Hythe to be closer to their son Tim and to receive the care they needed.

Shirley had a passion for reading, writing poetry, capturing nature through photography, and enjoying a good movie.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of over 65 years, Dennis; her sons: Tim (Renay) of Hythe, Steve (Janine) of Kelowna, Clayton (Andrea) of Lacombe, and Darren of Grande Prairie. Shirley also leaves her nine grandchildren: BJ, Christopher (Devon), Troy, Sydney (Tyler), Michelle, Michael (Tess), Emily, Cameron, and Colin (Lili); great-granddaughter Penny; sister Avis Dronsfield; and brother Dennis (Diane) Jocelyn.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Pearson Place in Hythe, the Beaverlodge Hospital, and Dr. Presley for the compassionate care Shirley received.
