It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Wayne Barry Gould, at the age of 80 years, who left us peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Beaverlodge, AB.

Wayne was born on April 22, 1944, in Swift Current, SK, to Stanley and Ruth (Malchow) Gould. He was the second oldest of four children. He grew up on a farm near Cantuar, SK, with his siblings, Gar, Bob, and Anne. He lived the farm life, attended 4H, graduated from high school, and relocated to Saskatoon, SK, to continue his education. After completing his education, Wayne embarked on a career in the Oil Field. His dedication and hard work led him to many achievements, including a business of his own.

While in Saskatoon, Wayne met his forever love, Jean. Wayne and Jean married on June 11, 1965, and their family tree began to blossom. Wayne was a father to David, Kimberley, Daryl, and Daren. A grandfather to Christopher, Cameron, Courtney, Mackenzie, Abigail, Keegan, and Gabriel. A great-grandfather to Layla and Saylor, and a step-grandfather to Leah, Reuben, Eden, and Elijah.

Wayne was an industrious man who worked hard to support his family. Choosing a life of solitude, especially after Jean’s passing in 2003. He enjoyed music, singing, playing his guitar, working in his workshop, being outside tending to his fruit trees, flowers, tomatoes as well as watching baseball, curling, and football games, especially the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Wayne is survived by his children, David (Miriam), Kimberley (Joseph), Daryl (Doreen), Daren (Carrie); 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and his brothers, Gar (Joanne) and Bob (Bea). Along with numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and acquaintances.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife Jean, his daughter-in-law Verena, his parents Stanley and Ruth, and his sister Anne.
